How FakeFind Detects Fake Amazon Reviews

What FakeFind checks, how the Trust Score is built, and what each part of a result means.

Analysis Results Breakdown

Here's what you'll see after you check a product, and what each part tells you about how much you can trust its reviews.

Trust Score and FakeFind Rating

The Trust Score rates how much you can trust the product's reviews, from 1 to 10. Under it, the FakeFind Rating is Amazon's star rating with the suspicious reviews discounted.

  • The fewer warning signs FakeFind finds in the reviews, the higher the score.
  • Green, amber or red shows at a glance whether the reviews hold up.
  • When the FakeFind Rating is lower than Amazon's, part of the rating rests on reviews FakeFind doubts.
  • Prefer letter grades? The swap button beside the heading shows the score as a Review Grade from A to F.

Pros and Cons

What reviewers praise and complain about, from the reviews FakeFind didn't flag.

  • Each point says how common it is: Most, Many, Some or A few reviewers.
  • Every point comes from real reviews of this product.

Trusted Alternatives

Other products from the same Amazon store and category with a Trust Score of 8 or more, best first.

  • A shield on each picture shows at a glance whether its reviews hold up; hover over it or tap it to see why.
  • Each one opens its own FakeFind result, so you can compare before you buy.

Advanced InsightsPremium

Premium adds a deeper report to every analyzed product, plus a chat that answers questions about it.

  • Review Authenticity: why the reviews earned their score, with quotes from them as proof.
  • Seller Reputation: who sells the product, and whether their history of buyer feedback says you can trust them.
  • Price Analysis and Ratings History: today's price against the category, and how price and ratings have changed, with charts.
  • Product Chat: ask anything about the product and get answers straight from its reviews and FakeFind's analysis.

The score is about the reviews, not the product: a well-made product can have manipulated reviews, and a poor one can have honest ones.

How a Check Works

  1. Step 1: Paste a Link

Any Amazon product link from a supported store, pasted on the site. A Chrome extension and a Firefox add-on are coming soon.

  2. Step 2: Fetch the Product

FakeFind reads the product details and a sample of its reviews, including the newest ones.

  3. Step 3: Read the Reviews With AI

An AI model reads each review for specific warning signs and lists the pros and cons reviewers mention. Every quote it uses is checked word for word against the review.

  4. Step 4: Run the Checks

Timing, star mix, duplicate text and the rating are measured directly, not by the AI.

  5. Step 5: Score

The more warning signs FakeFind finds, and the more serious they are, the lower the Trust Score.

  6. Step 6: Write the Summary

AI writes a one-sentence summary from the score and findings. It explains the score and can never change it.

  7. Step 7: Publish

The product page goes live. You watch the progress until it does.

The Ten Warning Signs

FakeFind checks every product's reviews for these warning signs, and they decide its Trust Score: the more signs it finds, and the more serious they are, the lower the score.
