Review Authenticity

Why the reviews can or can't be trusted

Bottom line

The reviews look like a fair guide to the product, but weigh the recent complaints before you buy.

Most ratings are positive, and most reviews read as first-hand accounts with specific details about everyday use. The checks found no copied text and no reviews about a different product. The main caution is a recent rise in short negative reviews from a minority of buyers.

Signs the reviews are genuine3

Specific owner details
Reviewers describe how they use it day to day, with details only an owner would know.
Complaints inside high ratings
Several four-star reviews name real drawbacks while still recommending it.
Copy checks came back clean
No reviews share wording with each other or with other products.

Reasons for caution2

More 1-star reviews latelyModerate
New reviews are 1-star more often than over the product's life.
A merged listingMild
The ratings count jumped by hundreds in one day, which usually means listings were merged.

What stands out

Battery life and fit come up again and again.
The rating has slipped slightly over the past year.
